Learning Storify

This week in my Multimedia Reporting class I learned how to use storify. It's a website that allows you to create a story by gathering information from all over the internet on a certain topic and combining all that information to develop a story.

Professor Cameron gave us an assignment to test out storify, splitting the class up into groups of four and then gave each group a topic to create a storify. My group topic was about L.A. Youth ending its publication after 25 years. I didn't know much about L.A. Youth before hand, so I had to do a lot of research before creating a storify.

I ended up gathering more than enough information on L.A. Youth than I needed, but that's never a bad thing. After gathering all of that information you have to decide where you want to place everything in your story. That's what storify is really all about, putting that information in the right place to make your story the best it can be.

I really enjoyed using storify and plan on using it going forward.

Here is a link to my storify on L.A. Youth.
